AQUILA NEWS!!!
Late last night Games Workshop responded to the reception of its first foray into the realm of film making.
"After seeing the responses from our fan base and seeing that they (and we) are unhappy with the quality of film making set out by Codex pictures we at Games Workshop would like to announce our next partnership with Lions Gate Films and Momentum Pictures." This comes out as a stark contrast to the previous stances of ignoring large budget film production companies which Games Workshop (GW) has turned down before. The top GW representative continued... "We have always been very impressed with Lionsgate, we feel that they will be able to bring the success and top class film making to our IP that they did with films such as, 'Kick-Ass,' 'Gamer,' and 'The perfect game,' with the suspense of the 'Saw,' and 'madea goes to jail,' movies.

Lions gate quickly released a follow up Statement from Vice Chairman Steve Beeks, "We cannot express how elated we are to begin this project, many of us here in Santa Monica are avid fans of Warhammer 40,000 and have been playing the tabletop game for years. I have a Khador army myself that I play on a regular basis."
Following Mr. Beeks statement Lions gate announced the plot and lead characters... "As of this moment we have signed Jake Gyllenhaal to play a troubled Space Marine who is having a hard time with the transition process of becoming a Space Vampire Blood Angel. This is complicated even more when his love interest, a Sister of Battle with a quick wit, (played by Megan Fox) is rescued from a Space Wolf pack. The star crossed pair travel across the galaxy on their hijacked storm Raven in an attempt to reach the Emperor and have him perform their marriage. At one point they run into a Tyranid warship and she is injured heavily. It was strongly hinted that he uses his gene-seed to save her life and make her the first female space vampire Blood Angel Space Marine. This really angers the Space Wolves, who cut their hair really short and take off their shirts and flex a lot. In the end they have a baby its birth awakens the Emperor on the Golden throne, beginning a new golden age of peace and prosperity in the galaxy.
"Who wakes me from my Eternal Slumber?"
As the press conference was finished I could swear I hear this from the GW rep to his assistant. "Lets see if those damn fan boys complain about this film like they did the last one. Maybe they should have just kept their mouths shut and been happy we gave them a movie at all. f***ing fan boys."
Vampire Blood Angel?! Nothing has been proven that the BA are vampires... I'm offended.
ReplyDeleteHow serious is this article, or is it a complete work of fiction. I must confirm this before I have a full blown freak out!

Actually this story is 100% false... Though I would expect any self respecting marine to save Megan fox with his gene seed.
